I received my Dyson about 10 days ago and have used it three different times. The vacuum has great suction and out performs my previous bag vacuum from Dirt Devil. I read many other reviews before purchasing this vacuum. As of right now I believe this vacuum is worth the money that I spent on it. Many of the other reports state the cord on the Dyson is shorter than other vacuums on the market. I would agree that the Dyson cord is shorter. The Dyson cord is 6 ft shorter than my old vacuum. This may be a slight nuisance but not a big concern. Accessing and emptying the dirt canister was not difficult. You press a button and the bottom of the canister drops open on a hinge and the dirt is suppose to all drop out. The concept is simple, however I did notice that the two times that I have emptied the canister so far that I had to use my fingers to pull out all the dirt. The ball design of this vacuum works outstanding. It will go around tight corners extremly easy without having to pull the vacuum back and forths. Overall I am satisfied with this purchase so far.Read full review
We have 4 small dogs & therefore our carpets & furniture tends to collect dog hair & dander. I am amazed at how much dirt is collected in this sweeper each week. After running the sweeper over an area, I decided to see if I could pinch any dog hair from the carpet. Not even a piece of dog hair was left. I am an allergy sufferer & this sweeper is great for helping me with some prevention measures. It's easy to empty out. I like the ease of moving it around in those difficult area's too. My only suggestion is to have a little more flexability with the hose / attachments. It just seems so long & not very flexible when I use the hose with the attachments. Even with that slight disklike, I would buy it again & I would recommend it to my family & friends. Very nice product.
My old Hoover was getting a bit worn and I was thinking of replacing it. Then I visited my sister who has a Dyson, and I was impressed with how easily it maneuvers and how easy the accessories are to operate. When mine arrived I was even more impressed. The ball model is VERY easy to move around. My house has hard floor with area rugs and the vacuum switches from carpet to hard floor mode with a simple hand control. It has way more suction than my old machine. But the big plus is that it takes much less of my energy to vacuum my house. For me, it means it's worth the extra money a Dyson costs. If there's one thing I would change it would be to give it a bigger holding tank for the dust and dirt it collects. Emptying it is easy, but it fills up very fast.
This vacuum is ergonomic, powerful, quiet, and the best. I enjoy vacuuming so when I had the opportunity to get this, I jumped at the chance. As everyone states, the first time I used it, it filled up one and a half canisters of dirt in each room! The suction power is great, emptying the canister is nice because you hit a button and the dirt mostly falls out of the bottom. The accessory wand reaches the corners of floors easily so you don't have to bend down. The ball is a nice feature as well and it navigates the house with no problems. This is the vacuum to have.
I bought the Dyson DC25 about a month ago and was impressed by the manuverability of the sweeper. It has great suction for cleaning the carpet and floors. The cleaning wand does such a terrific job on cobwebs, cleaning vertical blinds, and reaching into hard to reach places. The motor is pretty quiet for a sweeper and not a speck of dust was emitted the whole time I used it. I was originally going to purchase an Oreck sweeper, but after reading reviews for both vacuums, I decided to purchase the Dyson. I have no regrets. This is by far the best sweeper I have ever owned.
