My husband and I loved the entire movie. Dr Seuss' has an amazing way of stressing valuable lessons in life while making it fun. You have to fall in love with all of the animated characters, especially the brilliant actors and actresses. Horton shows the importance of standing up for your beliefs and what you know is right. He took a stand for those that could not stand up for themselves. With firm conviction he was determined regardless of the consequences to help those that others could not see. He believed that a person is a person no matter how small. We should all have that same conviction to stand up for those that others may consider insignificant or small. Life would be much better if we all try to be more like Horton. We need to take time out of our lives and provide words of encouragement, a kind look or even safety for those that are vulnerable. As Horton said, 'A person is a person no matter how small!'Read full review
And I am glad I did! At first, I thought, not another kids movie. Well, I was amazed how hilarious it was! The voice of Jim Carrey, Steve Carell, and others make it fantastic. The goofy one liners are extremely funny too! This is an all around GREAT movie for the whole family to watch. The first few times our family watched it, it was with a regular dvd player. Since then, we have upgraded to a blu ray player and wow, what a diference in picture quality and sound it made. Great computer produced movie graphics with vibrant colors and sound! All in all, you have to see this movie at lease once if not more. And if you are of the older, just imagine your a kid, for it will get you hooked into wanting to watch it many more times! So give it a chance and go buy a copy of this dvd movie. What are you waiting for?Read full review
i purchased this movie, because after renting it, my 2 year old son was obsessioned! we watched it every evening for the next weeek.. of course we then had to return it, so the only logical thing was to purchase it for ourselves.. my son was asking for the elephant :-) as a family, we all enjoy it, it provides good entertainment for the children, while teaching a good lesson at the same time.. and many laughs for the parents along the way. the characters are quite funny, yet there are some serious moments along the way. although rated G, which is wonderful when you have a 2 year old, they can still be scared during this film. there is a part when the bird is attempting to take the clover from Horton that can frighten them, and when the heard of animals unite together in a stampede to get Horton seems to work our son up into a frenzy.. we just fast forward through these parts now, until he is a little older. all in all, we would buy this again, it is a great movie that entertaining for everyone.Read full review

This movie it's one of my favorites from the books of Dr. Seuss. It tells the story of an elefant and microscopic people who live in a tiny speck, their town is called Who-Ville. The elefant hears a voice coming out of the small speck and believes that it has life. The elefant communicates with the major of Who-ville, he is surprised to hear that they live in a tiny speck, so he is very afraid for the lives of his family as well as the people in Who-ville. The elefant tells this to the other animals but the Sour Kangaroo thinks he is crazy, she will try to destroy the speck because they can't hear anything out of the speck. He protects the speck with his life because he believes that "even though you can't hear them at all, a person's a person, no matter how small". The elefant goes through a series of challenges to protect his friends from Who-Ville. You will enjoy this movie with the company of friends and family.Read full review
