I traded a 'smart phone' for this simple to use phone. It is good for seniors like myself, who like the convenience of a cell phone, but not the complication of a smart phone. I got a free SIM card from Consumer Cellular over the internet, set up an account, selected a plan compatable with my cell phone use, with a 30 day trial, followed the instructions on how to install it into the phone, charged the battery, and I was able to make calls immediately. The one negative is, it is hard to find a spare battery for this particular model (Doro 618) elsewhere in the internet, but Consumer Cellular has them for 25USD.
Wife loves it. Needed an extremely basic, simple cell phone, which frankly does not seem to exist. Her last flip phone kept wondering into other settings. Don't know if wife accidentally pushed buttons or phone bad. This phone has performed without a hitch. Wife can only handle flip open to answer and flip close to hangup. Dial a number and hit send button. Contains other features, none of which are used. Only 3G service so guess it will stop working some day. Wife talks for hours so she drains battery quickly.

Came new in box as described. The seal was intact. In fact it me 10 mintues effort, a pair of pliers and a knife to get it open. After charging I checked out the phone. This phone is for my mother. As picture the button are individual, making it easier for elder user with low vision problems.

This the second Doro 618 I've bought from eBay for an older relative. Got it about half the price of a new one. It is easy to use, has good battery life, has good volume, and has big buttons and a very easy-to-read display. Makes it perfect for older folks who need a cell phone but can't see or hear well.
I have had two of these phones before and really loved them till they started acting up . Then when I went for a third one the target store told me they were discontinued , and replaced with the doro 7050 .I had two of them and they were complete junk ,always locked up ,had to remove and reinstall battery just to use the phone. I went on line and bought a used 626 again
