The game will be a fun game, once you go through the training. Unlike most Wii games where you can start playing right out of the box (ROOTB) this game you need to go through the training to understand how to punch. The main event game starts off with a basic fight (like Wii sport) and you slowly work your way up in the ranking to more challaging fights. The one advantage the Don King Boxing game has over Wii Sport (Boxing) is the game takes full advantage of the balance board, and Wii fit (Aerobic boxing) the exercise program will have you work up a sweat with a HR of 100- 135. If you are looking for a fighting game that will challenge you with good fights and training, this game will do. The best price point for the game should be around $25.00 (New).
I really enjoyed this game, I rented it from Blockbuster along with a few other boxing games, I found the controls very easy to understand and LOVE that it can be used with the balance board. I skipped through the story line parts of the game as I was in it for the ring time and the training. It's a great work out and a lot of fun. But as I said, it's not a cartoon like some of the others. It's a great way to burn off some steam.
I don't really care for Don King and his personal characteristics or business attributes...but the game play is pretty good. I just now started boxing and if I'm not at the gym learning, then I'm on the game using what I have learned. Now it is not the exact same a fighting a real person but it is a tool to help make the basics of boxing more concrete. If you want a workout and something that helps you with the basics of boxing...this game will do it.
Like the action, little to dislike. I can use it with my Wii Fit base. Like the action, little to dislike. I can use it with my Wii Fit base. Like the action, little to dislike. I can use it with my Wii Fit base. Like the action, little to dislike. I can use it with my Wii Fit base.
This is a challenge at first but quick to catch onto and very enjoyable. I rented it every week for two months and then realized I was wasting my money renting it because I wanted to own it. There are many boxers to interact with, three levels so you can progress from amateur to champion, and lots of training exercises. I really love this game. The only problem I have is that the silly comments they make on screen are geared towards men and I am a woman! I find this much more challenging than the WII SPorts boxing which can tend to be repetitious and sometimes annoying.
