Toontown was just so much fun to play, and that's well pretty much why I play it. Not just a kids game. Fun to level up and figure out all the little "secrets" and glitches to it. You could be a member fortwo years and not even know "everything". People are generally nice there.I reccomend getting this, if you don'tlike it, try it for only a month. The little newsletters and cards you get every month for paying was so cute. Try it! 79.95 For One Year of T.T. 9.95 For One Month Pros-Fun, always changing. For any age! Cons-Speedchat. A chat where you can only use what they allow you to say. Game is About: Evil Buisness Men (cogs) are attempting to take over toontown and the toons need your help. Create your own toon, from a selection of shapes and sizes and colors and breeds...bear, duck, mouse, cat, dog .. i.e. There are alot of fun ways to do this ...coin, bullion, dollar mints, factories, buildings..i.e. There is pretty much no "objective" to this game, other then to get your "laff" (hit point meter) up until the max alotment at that time. As you defeat the bosses, over and over again, (v.p.,c.f.o. ect.) every 5-10 times, youget another laff. This sounds confusing, and it is when being explained, so Iwill stop now, and ask that youtry this product from Disney. Easy to learn. Have fun!Read full review
If you are looking for a safe on-line playing environment for your kids, this is it. Unless you are "special friends", you only can say a set amount of phrases to other players as you take on COGS, play trolley games, or fish for hard to catch species. Creating your character is lots of fun. You can create a rabbit, mouse, horse, dog, cat or monkey. You pick out if your character will be a boy or a girl and can change your characters looks and color. We have many different charcters including a girl lavender rabbit, a girl green duck, and a boy red monkey. COGS are serious business guys and they go around toontown trying to rain on the toons parade. You can send them back to whence they came with a few well placed gags. You start off with a few gags in your arsenol, but learn more as you progress. You also start out with a small amount of laugh points... if you lose them all in your battle with the COGS you will be sent back to the playground in a SAD state. You will slowly regain your laugh points and be ready once again to go out into the world. Characters in the game give you tasks and as you complete them you learn more gags, earn more laugh points and earn more jellybeans. With the jellybeans you can by some pretty cool furniture for your house (every toon has one), different phrases, different actions (like shrugging), and new clothes. They have also added a race track if you are into cars. You can win races and earn tickets which can be used to trick out your car, or even buy upgraded race cars. We have 2 accounts so family members can play together. To continue playing there is a reasonable monthly fee.Read full review
Was I surprise to see how much fun a kid's game can be! My son started playing toontown and asked for my help. I helped him with some of his toon's toontask and wouldn't you know it, I was hooked on the game! What a fun family game! My daughter (16) and my son (11) both play so I purchased another account so they can play together. I also play of course. The other toon players are very nice and helpful...we learned to "sf" secret friends so we can chat with other toonaholics. I enjoy playing with the kids and other adults and young ones on the game. I highly recommend this game! Disney certainly has done a superb job of this game. It is kid safe as toontown is monitored for bad language, etc. Their house rules give a broad outline of what can be said or not be said on the game. Our whole family plays and the annual fee is reasonable. See you online soon!Read full review
My children and I had tried a free 3 day pass and fell in love with the game. The only draw back of the game is they stay in your pocket. Purchasing the game only gets you two months free. So you either have to pay $10.00 every month or $80.00 for the whole year. Also the game causes alot of cookies so clean your computer frequently.
This is a fun, addictive game that keeps my 13 year old focused and (shhh) lets me play too. I was not aware that after the first 30 days there is a monthly subscription fee to continue to play, but trust me, we will pay it. This is a really fun game. You can create up to 6 characters to use - even in a large family each person can have their own character. As a huge bonus - it's appropriate for most age levels. What can you say that about anymore? This truly is family fun. I highly recommend this game.
