Even for older kids, this v.flash system seems to be entertaining, and I like that it's educational. The part with converting the fractions and weeks to months/years/days is very challenging for my kids and they love it. TheIncredibles is one of their favorite movies, and they like the games that feature the kids best. The factoids and library section is a bit sparse, I was hoping for more extensive encyclopedic entries. Overall, however, it's a good game with older-looking graphics. The protections on the disc are really good though and it's something I'm not afraid to let even my youngest children handle. A great way to train for responsibility and care of their video games. We limit video game time in our family, but the kids can earn play time doing chores, classwork, etc. and they have told me that, quote "even when I'm an old lady I will like playing this game." I don't know about that, but they seem to like it a lot. The only real problem with this game system is that there is no way to clean it - because of the protective and kid-friendly design for this product. Therefore, eventually the system itself will stop working (as it uses the same principles as a dvd or cd player laser lens). So, if you're going to buy it - don't spend a lot of money. The discs will last, but if the player doesn't also, you're not getting any playtime out of the working disc, and there is no conversion for it to PC or other format that I know of.Read full review
It’s a little difficult for my 6-yr old grandson, but he enjoys playing it. I believe my 10-yr old granddaughter will enjoy it once she comes over to try it.
