I am beyond an EC fan, I'm an EC wannabe. This pedal is great!! I ran it per directions into my Pro Junior tube amp, set it for low output, no distortion. This is incredible!! Each setting represents a whole EC pedal setup. Echo, dist, Leslie chorus, acoustic Layla Unplugged. It doesn't have all sounds, like Bluesbreakers, but if you tweek the knobs you can get really close. Lay Down Sally, never my favourite song, is so incredible on other styles of music. But, when I play Sally the tone is spot on, even though I'm not using a speaker/amp combination remotely like Eric's. I record more than gig anymore. For recording I always use batteries and not wall wart adapters to avoid humming. This unit eats a 9v battery in 4 hours or so. If you hate adapters you should invest in rechargable 9v batteries. To me, this is the only downside but no big deal. I would buy it again. If you are looking for one pedal that automatically does every EC sound, this will not do it. But, if you have a good ear, you can tweek this into most of his most popular sounds. You CAN get his Beatles solo on While My Guitar Gently Weeps, though there is no setting for that. I’ve compared this pedal to the MXR Super Badass Distortion and the Boss Ds-1. The Clapton pedal by Digitech has less noise for the same high gain Distortion tones. Furthermore it’s more versatile and while it may not work for your rig to give you exactly how Clapton sounded, it’s a fantastic pedal with lots of options to explore for great sounds

I'm a Clapton fan just getting into pedals. This gives you a good variety in one pedal without having to master pedal concepts or settings. Unintimadating without loosing power and flexibility.

I purchased this pedal, because I had great results from Digitech's Jimi Hendrix Effects pedal, which I love. I thought maybe I would get the same results in this pedal for Clapton Tones, Im not a fan of all of Clapton's work mostly his early work with Cream, Bluesbreakers, and some of his later acoustic work. I was satisfied with most of the sounds on this pedal, but some I felt were really muddy when they would put a fuzz effect in the mix. The one tone I would have put on this pedal which is missing is the BLUES BREAKER which is not on this and is one of Clapton's greatest era tones. Though there are still some good tones in this unit, If you can get a used one for a good price Id say go for it.
Received the pedal, tested, and now using it! really cool for us that play Clapton songs.
