I am pleased with this purchase of the Dell studio 1537 motherboard. I am currently in the Midst of completing a Cisco certified network associate exam. Instead of using the packet tracer simulation software, I purchased a home lab and decided to use the available laptops as part of that lab. This studio laptop failed a couple years ago and it sat inside its carry case until I purchased the lab. I reached out to eBay and was able to purchase this new mobo and get the laptop up and working again so that it could be included in my certification study.

At the beginning I was a bit worried after installing it because my computer wouldn’t turn on. I was about to return the motherboard when I read on the internet that one reason for a computer not turning on was the installation of new hardware; I had installed a newer cpu in the motherboard I was replacing. To test what I read, I installed an older cpu and the new motherboard began working perfectly and my computer turned on. Afterwards, I updated the bios and installed the newer cpu. Now my computer works a lot faster and has no problems.

I could not tell what was wrong with my laptop. When I found this board at a very reasonable price I decided to replace the motherboard. I have had this laptop for a long time and had a lot of files that I didn't want to move. It works great.
