The 1950 is a great 1U server, packs a lot of power in a small chassis; I use it running VMWare as a development/build server and it has worked extremely well. The only note, and this isn't a negative considering where it's supposed to live, is that it isn't quiet, especially when builds are happening (which is all the time); the machine sounds like a jet engine. But, given this is a rack-mounted server meant to live in a server room, this is understood and accepted.

Solid product. This server has plenty of support options on-line as well as forums on many different ways to set up your server, and your raid controller. You will need to buy specific rails to rack mount it, these rails are very access-able. Base on what you get for what you pay, this is a very good solution.
We needed a server with a bit of power and the Dell 1950 fit our needs. It was reconditioned perfectly and I have no doubt that it would have cost much much more to buy a new one. It has not missed a beat. It's always nice to save money!
I purchased this item for a home lab and it has done just as expected if not better. It is a very powerful and reliable machine for an extremely low cost. In fact, shortly after this I purchased a Dell 2950 server to also add to the lab. Great stuff!
A perfect server for my dedicated game servers. Setup was easy and hassle free. I really am super stoked to be hosting my own servers, now.
