TECH GEEKS PERSONAL REVIEW AFTER 1 MONTH OF USAGE CONS: This is a really SLOW laptop. It only has ONE core.It does NOT have a heatsink fan on the processor which means the laptop is ALWAYS HOT!I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND BUYING A FAN TO GO UNDERNEATH IT!NO built in wifi, must buy a dongle for it.No dvd-rom drive. Can only take 2gb ram MAX.Small HD. It has a glitchy left and right clickers on the touch pad,its very aggravating and frustrating! You cant scroll down, only use the arrow keys or HOME or END,very very frustrating. On youtube you can only watch videos at 240p which is very poor quality. The 1.6 Ghz processor is a joke to todays standard which is way below pay to a 2.5 Ghz processor. If you like old technology and a slow laptop, this is the perfect computer for you. Can't use 2 applications at ones(skype and firefox) or one crashes(FB). Pros: its small and compact i guess ideal for traveling.Read full review
The notebook is small, easy to carry and the monitor is clear. The only drawback is the notepad. The cursor is hinky and tends to bounce around. I've tried to adjust the the speed on the touchpad to no avail. If you haven't used a mini before (like me) you will have to get used to typing on a smaller keyboard. Overall, this was a great purchase for me. I travel a lot and carrying this around does not break my back. And...... it is so cute!
Very comfortable, easy to carry on. Is a little slow for my personal needs but for my daughter was a very good acquisition. The pad is Ok, but I´m using it with a Bluetooth mouse. It´s a pretty mini.
The Dell Mini 10v is the best netbook purchase, hands down! I purchased this little machine for the fact that I wanted something that was power conscious as well as something that I could use in more places. I am always on the move whether I am at home, out at a mobile hot spot, or wherever. The only thing that I would complain about is the touch pad. Sometimes, the touch pad may click or move unexpectedly, especially when I go to drag and drop something. I have overcome the touch pad problem by using an external mouse for those times when I really need to do something intricate. Comparing this netbook to others I have purchased, the Dell Mini 10v is still the best one yet!
loved the size very portable lightweight. super bright and clear display hd display and love the hdmi port. my favorite is the huge memory it has and still remains fast.
