The motherboard resolved my problem of the laptop only owering on when I have the cmos battery removed and the power plugged in. Nog surd if the power module was defective on the board, since I could not charge my battery with the new board. Since I had thd original power module, I used that instead. Bottom line, the system board resolved my problems.

The first board I ordered wasn't the G8RW1 and was an AMD motherboard. My fault. So then I ordered this one, but the board I got wasn't exactly the same as the board I had (even though both were G8RW1?) I ended up buying a different generation CPU that worked. Course it would have been nice to have just worked. My advice, be careful of what you are ordering or just get a used board that comes with a CPU.
