I love junior league cookbooks in general because they always have excellent recipes in them. Also, when I am considering a cookbook, I look at the appetizer and the seafood sections. If there are quite a lot of recipes in those sections, I will then look through them and see if there are some unusual ones to try. This cookbook has a lot of recipes that are interesting to me; and although the book has no pictures, they aren't really necessary. I haven't prepared any of the recipes yet, but I think that I am really going to like this cookbook a great deal!
I grew up in South Texas where the ladies threw smashing parties in their homes for baby showers, bridal showers, birthday parties, anniversaries and quinceneras. This is the food I love. This is a classic recipebook with good old fashioned kinda items that are timeless traditions of what good partyfood is all about. Highly recommended.
