I am a passionate advocate for all of Patrick Lencioni's books. These are always small, concise, and easy to read for anyone in management, not just CEOs. Lencioni pulls from his own experience to highlight ways an organization's infrastructure can be altered and it's values better communicated, resulting in more uniformity and driven employees. This book is no exception. In this book Lencioni takes the normally boring aspect of running a business (meetings) and informs the reader how they can make staff meeting more engaging and effective. He also highlights the need for different types of meeting with different contextual focus, rather than a reliance on only one type. Ultimately he highlights why having productive meetings is so important for an organization and why instead of abandoning the concept management should adapt their meeting style. Read full review

Meetings are not one size fits all, and conflict and drama are not always bad if the team is respectful and is working in concert to make the organization better! And lastly: agendas have to be written after the meeting, if not, then you have AN agenda and that is never good! Read this with an eye out to making your morning meeting(s) MUCH better! Enjoy.
