I bought this SACD primarily because I wanted to enjoy a high fidelity experience and I like Dean Martin's voice and style enough to listen to his music; though I grew up liking the Beatles and rock. The quality of this SACD is excellent. I never owned the original vinyl album so I can't say how it compares. But I've purchased about 20+ SACD's and this one is among the better ones in terms of fidelity. The song selection and Dean Martin's performance are first rate. It's got a couple of big hits in it and the songs that aren't big hits are just as good or nearly just as good. I bought most of the famous Frank Sinatra albums and I like this album more than any of those. These can still be had for less than $20. If you have a SACD player and are thinking about this album, I'd give it a strong recommendation.Read full review

Voice OK, orchestra unbalanced and muted. Not one of the capital records best efforts of that era. Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Kay Star, Ella Mae Morse, and the Four Freshmen - all recorded by capital of this era, sound much, much better than this.
