More information than most photographers will ever need. More importantly however, it does cover basics in detail - like shooting modes, camera settings, etc. The 70D is set up a bit differently than earlier Canons, so a guidebook is almost essential for "boots on the ground" performance. Excellent chapter on radio (wireless) flash options, which are built into the 70D. Too big for most kitbags - fortunately, there is also a FIELDBOOK, 'guide' sized paperback version for 70D by this same author. I would recommend that variation if you want something to toss into the average-sized camera bag.
It was written by David Busch and I had two others: one for the Canon EOS XT and the EOS 40D. Comprehensive, well written and explains the functions and capabilities of the 70D and how to use them. Not my first copy of this book. The first one was lost in a fire three years ago.
