Steve Carell and Tina Fey team up in this funny comedy about a couple Phil and Claire Foster who live an ordinary life in New Jersey with their two kids, great jobs and good friends. Phil takes Claire out on the town in Manhattan and things go horribly and turn hilariously funny when they take a reservation at a posh dinner spot under assumed names. This movie had me roaring with laughter at times as Carell and Fey get into more trouble that one could believe possible. The movie flows throughout it's entire length with non-stop gags and non-stop funny lines all while being completely serious about the entire story. I really enjoyed this movie and recommend it to anyone who loves a great comedy or wants a good laugh. The movie also stars: Mark Wahlberg, Jimmi Simpson, Ray Liotta, and Taraji P. Date Night features a premise ripe with comedic potential. Bored New Jersey-ites Phil and Claire Foster decide to head into New York in a bid to pep up their marriage, which long ago fell into a pit of suburban ennui and routine. They arrive at a swanky Manhattan restaurant named Claw here they clearly have no chance of getting a table without a reservation, and Phil decides on the spur of the moment to nab a table belonging to an absent couple called the Tripplehorns, despite the misgivings of his wife. Predictably, the unfortunate pair's one attempt to add a little risk into their monotonous existences ends up delivering far more excitement than they could ever have hoped for, as it turns out that the Tripplehorns are being sought by gangsters over a missing flash-drive that contains some salacious images of an important political figure. Soon, the Fosters are spinning all round town in cars that do not belong to them, breaking into offices to secure vital information and semi-blackmailing a perpetually shirtless security expert who Claire once showed some properties into helping them work out the best way of escaping the unfortunate mess they've somehow got themselves into! A great movie, just enough adult humor but still ok for the family.Read full review
For two of the funniest actors around today I had high expectations for this film. I was disappointed that it seemed to drag and wasn't living up to its funny previews. As with most films most of the best scenes were shown in its previews. This didn't keep me interested and I found myself looking at the clock to see how much more time I was wasting in trying to get though this film. Lighthearted laughs and weak plot made this a choice that I regretted buying after the fact. Sorry if I seem to be tough on the film in my review but this is one of those films that made me feel that I wished I had missed this instead of actually seeing it.
Arrived in great condition. This movie is super funny, it's a must watch !
