The latest in the Goldy Schultz culinary mysteries is a winner! Being a caterer is not an easy job, especially when you find your assistant murdered at the site where you're supposed to be making and serving breakfast. There are plenty of suspects but, the motives are not so obvious. Goldy's young assistant wasn't quite the girl she seemed. The recipes sound terrific. It's almost impossible not to snack while reading these stories.
I have read all of the the Goldy Bear series and have enjoyed all of them. I look forward to the next one every time. This one, Dark Tort, was good, but a bit slower than most of Mott Davison's Goldy books. However, it is still a good read and worth the time. The story is compelling and, of course, you can't read one of these books without getting hungry. I've definitely gotten some good ideas for my own cooking from Goldy. Happy recipes, Goldy fans!
I have been following Goldie since the 90's. She's an excellent detective and caterer. Love her stamina and recipes !!!!
