This is probably one of my favorite films in that pays homage to Native Americans. It is a look at how this country began and how brutally Native Americans were treated in the name of... I don't know what. There are a couple of love stories intertwined in this film. There is love of country, love of justice, love for a people, and love for a woman. This film is long. But, the entirety of it is relevant to the story being told, It will keep you interested. Kevin Costner does a great job in this role as his character grows as a person as he begins to understand the difference between right and wrong and fair and just. This movie is compelling and moving. It is a must see.
I loved this movie for the picture it portrayed of the American Indian and how they lived. Their need for the Buffalo for their survival, the loyalty and honor among their people and their love of laughter and fun. Graham Green was excellent and having them speaking the native tongue added to the authenticity. The American Indian was treated terribly and it was sad to see their lives changed so drastically by the white man. The acting and scenery was superb. I heartily recommend adding this movie to your collection.
This is the best movie I ever seen I love it

One of the best western epics ever made. Stands with Lonesome Dove, Jose Wales etc. I have been to many of the film's shoot locations as I live in the Rapid City, SD. area, so I may be a bit influenced by that.
My other half has not seen the movie, and I like many others loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
