I have tried more than 10 different brands of IP camera over the past 3 years. This is the one I am most happy with for price/performance. The only cameras I have that are better in any way, cost more than twice as much. I have quite a few cameras at this price or higher that I don't like due to poor night performance and/or general unreliability, but I am very happy with this one. I would not recommend the camera to just anyone because these are intended for professional installers, and there is no official support for consumer end-users. If you want something simple, get a Nest, Ring, Dropcam or something like that. If you know what you're doing (or are willing to learn) you will not find a better value than this one. There is a possible drawback in that it only comes with a fairly wide-angle lens. Being adventurous, I was willing to take it completely apart, crack off the glue on the lens, and substitute in a different and longer M12 1/3" format lens. Be aware, a physically longer lens may or may not fit into the case without some modification.Read full review

As noted below it's not for the novice. You will need to have a power supply or run it on POE. You can go to the Dahua site and download their tools for the config tool that will help you locate it on your network. If you hook it up to your network with POE you will need to change your IP range to that of the camera on your router and on your computer and then run the config tool. Once you are able to access the camera you can change its IP to within your network's IP range and then change your router and computer back to your previous settings. All instructions are in Chinese but the interface is english. You can also get the quick start guide and manual for this camera on Dahua's site. I use it with Blue Iris & it works great for covering a large area.

Works well. My only complaint was that the listing says "pan tilt" and I took that to mean motorized, remote control pan and tilt. Nope, it means that the camera position and angle can be manually adjusted at the camera. Even with that the price was great though, so overall not a bad deal.
