Some of the recent prequel / sequels that Disney has been releasing direct-to-DVD are an embarrassment. They are just trying to exploit their classic animated features for revenue and very little artistry or thought are put into them. This film, "Beauty and the Beast: Enchanted Christmas" is the exception. The original cast returns with some excellent additions (namely Tim Curry and Bernadette Peters) and the new songs by Rachel Portman, while not quite as good as the Alan Menken Howard Ashman songs from the original, are very nicely written. Very much worth a look and it is certainly an excellent addition to the holiday viewing list.
This is a really cute show that is set before the Beast turns back into the prince. It has a good message too. Could be considered a little bit scary at times for the really young ones (my 1 and 3-year-olds.) Definitely a must-have if your daughter loves Belle, like mine.
One of Disney's most treasured films ever! Great Holiday Family Movie! The original "Beauty and the Beast" has been a favorite in our house for the last decade! I would have to say that this is one of Disney's Best Animated Holiday Movies!
I bought it for my daughter for Christmas. It's great and it's what she wanted. There was nothing that was disliked and the reason for buying this was because the price was fair.
It was a wonderful movie to add to my collection. My grandkids love it too. If you get a chance to get one please do so.
