DeWalt is still king of the "reasonably priced cordless tools." In my opinion, Milwaukee makes better tools, but they're so overpriced that it's honestly not worth it. This is a great drill, not the big, heavy-duty XRP, but still 18V power in a well built tool. Good mid-sized unit that would be perfect for all day use since it's fairly light weight, especially with a Lithium battery. It works with both NiCd and Li-ion, another great feature if you already have a set of XRP or regular 18v batteries and plan to upgrade in the future. Only 2 speeds, but again, this is a mid-line drill and for the price, you can't beat it. If you treat it right, it will run forever... and if you don't treat it right, you can just replace it for around 50-75 bucks. Definitely worth it.
Drill is great, nice and light to carrey around the hammer part of it wont let you down. the carrey case also fits my impact drill just perfect, and the battery charger as while. it shiped very fast in a nice packed box so no damage could happen to the product. I use the drill almost every day instad of my much heaver hammer drill that weighs about double the weight of this drill. very happy with it.
I bought this product because the price was right and I needed a new cordless drill. I bought two new NiCad batteries for it, and it works very well. I also bought a new battery charger for the two new batteries so I will always have a charged battery. The Dewalt DCD775-B 18 Volt unit that I bought is a professional quality drill. I would recommend this drill to the professional, and to the weekend warrior who may be doing home repairs or modifications, them self. You have the option of NiCad batteries, or the big heavy duty Lithium Ion battery which is a bit more expensive, but lasts longer on a charge.
Small, light weight and a very nice tool. I have numerous Dewalt corded and cordless tools (more than 25) and have found them to be a long lasting high-use tool. This drill is light enough to use frequently with less effort than the larger ones. Torque is excellent and that little LED light is great when working in dim lit places. Overall I would rate this tool a worthy advocate for any professional tradesman or casual home owner.
This drill is awsum , I have the 925 also . The 775 is lite easy to hold up and the lite works great in hard to see places . It has great power and the older batterys fit it "" great product . Easyer to use the the bigger one i go for the 775 every time now .
