I wish that I could offer a more comprehensive review, but this arrived the day before I had shoulder replacement surgery. My left arm has been pretty much immobilized ever since. I can say that I was surprised at what I got. It was actually better than I expected. I did plug in to a tiny practice amp once, and found nothing wrong with the instrument. If I were to make any changes, it would be to put better machine heads on it. It came with classical guitar machines, which are intended for nylon strings. I feel that the heavier steel strings of a lap steel would be better served by better machine heads. As to the electronics, They seem sufficient to me. It did not come with expensive humbuckers, or other premium electronics, but what is there was a good choice for this instrument. I was quite impressed with the workmanship of this instrument. The finish was excellent, as were the other fine detail work. In all honesty, I would have expected the cost to be about twice what I paid. This was one of the better of mt instrument purchases in recent years.Read full review

Nothing else like it in this price range. As long as the light strings are tuned UP it's fine. Easily upgraded and very very cool for a beginner wanting to try this type instrument. Well worth the money at $130.00

I did immediately re-string the instrument as soon as I got it by choice only. The pickups are so-so but gets the job done just fine. I have one tuned to open E tuning (EBDG#BE) for blues and the other in a c6 tuning (ACEGCE) for that Hawaiian sound. The instrument is great for the money, very portable, and you can't beat the retro gold metal flake finish. Just get one and see for yourself! (☆};-} iko iko

It's not the best double neck steel that you can find, but it certainly is the cheapest! And the electronics work spectacularly. You will need to play with the saddle height in order to get the strings up off the fretboard, but other than that it is an amazing instrument for the price.
