I hate to admit my age, but I was around when the original came out and loved it back then very much. This new remake is equally quite good and I enjoyed it immensely as well. The plot and story line are inline with the first release but of course up to date in this day and age, and you can't help but love Bruce Willis in the title role and he and his character are quite engaging and I found it interesting as he transformed from the different stages of being a totally respected doctor and then as he slowly digressed into the man who found no other recourse but to take things into his own hands and learn the ins and outs of delving into the underworld of the scum that destroyed his life and took his family. And as just as it was in the originals, how he came full circle and cleaned up all the loose ends to return to life as the respected man he once was.Read full review

This was a pretty good movie. It's not exactly like the original but takes a lot of elements from it. In some ways it's better because it's updated to suit the present times we live in. I can say that it's not what I am used to seeing Bruce Willis doing. It's not constant action. Has a story to it. I like it better than the original one though.

After watching (and loving) Bruce Willis' DEATH WISH, I watched Charles Bronson's four renditions, and I have to say, I would REALLY like to see Bruce Willis have a three or four movie series to show how it should be done (a la Liam Neeson's Taken series). Charles Bronson was very good in his movies and I think Bruce Willis is just as good, but the new DEATH WISH is a much better movie overall, what with modern production standards, special effects, and storytelling. Here's to DEATH WISH 2, 3, AND 4 starring Bruce Willis, and if they are only half as good as this one, they'll be fantastic!

Great action packed story concept, but don’t compare to the original ones with Charles Bronson in the 70s. Totally different. Bruce Willis portrays a character that evolves into somewhat of a bad ass. Probably should’ve picked a different movie title because as mentioned it’s not the same script as the original series. All in all I had enjoyed watching!

Who doesn't love Bruce Willis. He is a surgeon in this film, whose wife is murdered and daughter is brutally beaten. He becomes a vigilante on a mission to find out who did this unspeakable act. Outstanding acting and a great value.
