        Good, basic battery monitor

        I have just installed this, so I don't have any long term experience with it. The instructions were straight forward to follow. I checked the accuracy with an HP lab grade DVM and it was spot on for voltage. I used a clamp-on DC ammeter to check current with a battery load tester. The current required a small correction. The amp zero would only get to about 1/3 A, no doubt an issue with the very low voltage on the current shunt. Installation requires cutting a battery cable and attaching large gauge ring terminals (not included). I used vice grips to crimp the lugs, and a large wattage soldering iron. This had to be done in a confined space, so Youtube videos showing a propane torch is down-right dangerous. The display is not designed to snap into the thin plywood wall in my RV, so I had ...

        Good Meter for the Price

        Please don't expect a $200 meter for $30. You will not have the accuracy of a $200 meter. With that in mind, this meter does work and the calibration ability makes it well worth the $30 versus the really cheap meters. The voltage calibration worked well the first time, the amp calibration does take a couple of tries of setting the zero point, then the high current point to get the meter to track the current correctly. The instructions with the unit are not very good, you have to know a little about what you are doing so that you can read between the lines. No stand offs are provided for the connector board. You will need to buy some separately or use hot glue to make some, as I did. Overall a good meter

        size meter correctly

        Meter looks quite useful. Currently item has not been installed as it was not throughly thought through before purchase. Item was bought to monitor aux batt. Size of meter purchased was the 100 amp. It will work for draw from my inverter but not the higher amp draw from my winch. Be SURE to size your meter correctly to your install.

        Does a good job - easy to use

        Prompt delivery. Found calibration instructions a bit unclear, but the supplier clarified. Clear display, easy to operate. Has now been working well for several months. Fantastic to have reliable measure of battery charge status.

        Works as advertised

        This small monitor works great and is accurate once calibrated against a known device. I connected to a 12V deep cycle battery to test it. I followed the instructions to calibrate the voltage and amp draw display against a Fluke meter with a Genius charger connected, then a load device of 7A. This meter displayed everything correctly during load and charging. I used the Fluke VOM to get exact load/voltage info and calibrated the V and A per instructions. It worked great and was accurate. The display can be turned on/off by pressing the SET button quickly. This is a great device in my opinion.
