Wad thinking about getting one of these tabletop internet radios for awhile. This one seems to be the most practical, and I do get good use of it everyday. Downsides are: 1) it only comes enabled with whatever services are in there, like Pandora. I don't use them; I have an account with Slacker, but you can't just add it in there, and 2) sound quality is OK. I couldn't find anything really audiophile class with internet radios. Only other option, I guess is to just get the radio deck and then patch it into a higher end sound system. Would be appropriate for a larger part of the house, but I just wanted something for the kitchen table. So, I guess this is the right thing for that purpose. I'm pretty happy with it and some of the new stations I've discovered. Also, these Grace designs are mono. Nothing wrong with that, as you'd have to have a decent physical distance between two speakers to experience a stereo image. But they do sell a two-speaker tabletop radio with subwoofer on the bottom. I checked out the manual first, and it turns out it's wired in mono anyway and doesn't even have tweeters. That model might be good for you if you really like bass and don't care about highs, but the Class D amplifiers they put in these don't produce high frequencies that well to begin with. So again, I think this is the most sensible product. I do like it. Hope you've found this helpful.Read full review

Average sound quality as there is no way to disable the equalization settings, the on/off switch is missing so the battery drains away quickly. Most car radios have much better sound. It is just a minor upgrade to the speakers found in most chrome books. This thing is muddled at best, a real mid to lo fi radio. Some poor engineer most likely got screwed out of design rights or profits with that missing switch design move. So one has to disconnect the battery from the radio manually by opening the bottom compartment and taking it all apart every time you turn it off when you want the battery to stay charged. And or you have to leave a mass of wires hanging loose out of the battery box to have a decent on/ of switch on this radio. One has to be connected to the gosh awful Pandora service to use the darn radio at first. Pandora is a service where the owners of it are multi millionairs according to the business papers yet there are messages begging for money every so often on the radio feeds there. There are much better free sources such as Tune in on the web. The radios shape is clunky with little in the way of flat surfaces to rest it on. the volume know sticking up out of the top is ungainly at best and looks like some ones careful design was clugked up to keep some engineers from getting paid for an original and good design. It stores poorly on most shelving. WAIT until a better improved model the MKII or something like that comes out. This first edition is a mess.Read full review

Let's start with the Setup: As easy as setting up your laptop to connect to your wireless router. Counting initial setup and linking Pandora to the radio I was done in about 20 minutes. Good size color display with more options than I will probably ever use but The internet Radio, Pandora and media player are what I wanted it for and all work great and are easy to figure out and use. This is my 3rd internet radio and one thing I real appreciate about it is Grace digital is the leader in this field and should be around for a long time. My last 2 radios were made by companies that went out of business which means you can't get updates and radio stations eventually stop working because the links become obsolete. If you want an internet radio Grace digital is the one to go with. The Mondo is fantastic and they have other models that look equally as good.Read full review

Please note that this radio does not have an ethernet port as most others do. That means you have to use wifi. Unfortunately, it drops the wifi signal out and locks up; this happens routinely. Then it will suddenly connect and like a scary movie it will suddenly start, then stop. Their advice is to unplug everything including your router and start all over again. This can be very tiring and frustrating. It is a widespread problem. Grace had to call their next generation Mondo+ in order to differentiate it from the problematic Mondo. They say they cannot make this radio work like the next one because it is completely different software. I asked if they would send me the ethernet dongle so at least I can plug it into my router. They will only sell it to you and it is proprietary similar to Apple products. When I asked if this radio was recalled and tried to get any solutions from Grace on their Facebook page they apparently blocked me. It is upsetting that they would do this to a consumer rather than help and make a satisfied customer. I can't recommend this company or its products at this time. Perhaps they will help us in the future and I can revisit this, but I don't see that happening. It is a big deal to me because this radio was very expensive.Read full review

One of the features I like best about this radio is that you can operate it from anywhere in your home using your smartphone.
