.... but D-Link online support really lacking. Had to call and talk. Issue: motion detection emails you it triggered. That's all - an email. You have to activate your D-Link account to view your video live. If big delay in time email is sent & time email is read & live video is monitored - you have lost the value of the alert. No recording was made. BUT there is a FIX! Took D-Link voice rep & me 25 min to access & configure additional hidden setup properties - really difficult language barrier. Finally success - email of breach now includes screenshots; 6 frames each at 1 second interval. This feature should have been easier to find and apply with a product box-labeled and site-bragging "Cloud Camera". Out of the box with no help, you can't access any pictures at all. Usual snafu with engineering, manufacturing & marketing not talking to each other. Once set up as I now have it? Fantastic product at low cost.Read full review

I have had mine for about two weeks and there are good and bad things. The good is that I can see what is going on in my home even in low light (A Little fuzzy and monochrome). The bad is the motion detector detects motion when there is none, so I am getting push notifications when there isn't any motion. I think it might be my hot air heating system, if that is the case I could never use motion. I decided to use my SmartThings motion detector to detect motion and turn on the camera. I haven't tested the rule yet but I will update if it works.

This unit took a while to configure. Their supposed user friendly set up works to some extent but if you're looking to have it email you pictures that it senses, like it says in the product description, then there is a whole series of advance settings and parameters that most people will have difficulty with. I've adjusted the sensitivity sensing and still find that the motion sensor setting is either too sensitive and you end up with a lot of false reports or doesn't work at all. There are no in between to find that sweet spot. Save your money and invest in a better quality model.

Bought a few of these because I had a couple of Cisco camera fail after several years. Able to setup each camera in minutes with built in web interface. Using Port Forwarding through firewall - no account with D-Link to make them work. But have Dynamic DNS configured on wireless routers at homes without static IP addresses from ISP. The only negative, image clarity is not quite as good as the Cisco cameras I am beginning to replace for outdoor distant views. Untested . . . I have not tried these outside at -25 Fahrenheit yet. The Cisco cameras worked outside for years at northern Minnesota cabins under the protection of roof overhangs. I payed around $100 for the Cisco, these D-Links are a steal if they last.
