While I have enjoyed the Regency period since I first read Jane Austen, I am not a huge fan of Stephanie Laurens. Still, I enjoyed Devil's Bride enough that I will probably read more in the series. The characterizations are strong. The hero and heroine are likeable and interesting. The plot seemed pretty mediocre to me, but the characters were enough to keep me interested and moving on through the book. I thought the supporting characters were also strong and well drawn, and that added to my enjoyment. Fans of Ms. Laurens will not want to miss this and probably most Regency fans will enjoy it, also.
Excellent beginning to the Cynster novels. Author has brought the settings and the character descriptions to life. One can actually visualize the background settings and see the characters in their mind. This was a thoroughly enjoyable read. Kept me engrossed throughout the novel. The murder mystery was as engaging as the love story.
I'm enjoying my books.

Loved the storyline of the Cynster family, however felt the sex was to prominent. It really should not have been such a big part of the story. FYI I am not a prude, just felt this was too much! The story was a good one without so much detail of sexual exploits.
Thanks
