This is my very first food processor and I love it! The size is just right, as I usually cook for two. I ordered extra discs right away. The machine is quiet, FAST, grinds, shreds, chops and slices. I make a lot of soup and have always hated chopping onions. Even made my first onion soup since getting the processor. It is easy to clean. The video that came with it was very helpful to a "first-timer," and there is also a small cookbook. It doesn't take up any more counter space than a blender would and does so much more. I suggest getting some extra discs and disc holders, too, for storage. So far, it's a five star machine!
I wish I would have known about this flat lid a long time ago. It works great on my Cusinart 14 cup DFP-14BCN food processor. I like the flat lid. It makes it easier to store the food processor and is usually all I need.

I have used it several times and it is just as I hoped. I had another such Cuisinart in the past and the motor quit after thirty or thirty-five years. I used the old one plenty when we were five; now there's just the two of us. It is pretty easy to clean for jobs like slicing vegetables. My wife likes liver dumplings and that's messier. It still cleans up easily, though,
I bought only a work bowl as a replacement. The price was very reasonable. Replacement of a part is a great option when the motor is still good.
