  • stupendous

I know why James Patterson is such a success and so will you when you read Cross, the latest Alex Cross novel. I came late to the series and have struggled to get caught up and I will eventually read the entire backlist. However, whether you're a old Patterson fan or Cross is you're first Patterson book, you're in for a treat. Suspensful, fast paced, and well crafted with little or no fat between the pages, Cross grabs your attention and holds it for the entire story. While Cross may be a little graphic for some readers, certainly the violence isn't gratuitous but an integral and necessary part of the story. And if you're used to Patterson's stories theres nothing here that will surprise you. Alex Cross has decided to put down his career and retire to just being a Dad. This decision ...

  • CROSS

I bought James Patterson's "Cross" 1) because of the author, James Patterson, who I totally enjoy reading, and 2) because of the character, Alex Cross, who I enjoy reading about. He is so exciting!!!!! You can't put the book down. This book was the pinnacle of all Alex Cross Thrillers and the most terrifying Cross ever, and most emotional Cross I've ever read!!!!! I could not put the book down and read it in a few days and totally enjoyed every page. Patterson is one of the BEST authors there is and he knows how to keep your attention from page to page. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves THRILLERS!!!!!!!!

  • Cross - James Patterson

I am not sure if you want me to review the actual contents of the book or the reasons that I deceided to purchase it. My thoughts are that while not having read this Patterson book, I have read many other by him and found most to be very entertaining and engrossing. The plot lines are simple and very easy to follow. They are not overly complicated with too many peripheral characters, I don't believe that I have read one of the Lt Cross' series in awhile, and I bid on it because he is an extremely likeable character with a well-honed set of ethics, and the Washington locale is a favorite setting. He is family oriented and believes that his family is paramount....very unlike much of today's societal beliefs.

  • Patterson's "Cross", excellent as expected!

This is classic Patterson / Cross. I very much enjoyed reading "Cross", an easy crisp read that is hard to put down. Writing in the first person, from Alex to the "Butcher", places the reader inside the story and heightens your emotional attachment to the characters. Patterson's style also gives a realistic visualization of events and locales, giving an almost movie-like experience. "Cross" is a must read for James Patterson fans!
