We got this for the Little Drummer Boy video because our old VHS tape broke. Although generally good, we were disappointed to notice that some of the audio was missing. In the scene where the troop performs in the city, when Drummer Boy and his animals start to play, the drum beats at the beginning are missing--not there at all. That makes me wonder what other audio may be missing that we did not notice. Although the video in general was fine, this problem was very disappointing because we wanted a replacement for our original video, and it looks like we will have to buy one from another source to get it.

I purchased this DVD because I wanted a children's Christmas show that didn't have Santa Claus in it. I like it because it comes closer to portraying what Christmas is really all about - Jesus. When I was a child, I looked forward to seeing it every Christmas season. I love the old claymation shows of the 60's and the 70's. Rankin/Bass did a great job with these kinds of shows. I would highly recommend it for all ages.
