I've had a few 'shop vacs'. The 5.5 hp is nothing like anything I've ever experienced. The wet vac is easy to empty and the canister's so light you don't need drainage plug. The foam sleeve is self-drying (btw they don't include this w/ other wet vacs like Rigid, Shop Vac) The hose attachments are easy - never pop out and huge! Almost 3'' in radius..which means you can vacuum those leaves; detailing the yard w/o worrying about pebbles stopping your project. I've used every attachment; they're all useful! The canister wheels are true 360 and made well! There are moving handles on the side; no bending to grab the top! And parts are cheaper than other brands - I've priced the filters about $10 less. Speaking of filters -- this is a GIANT filter with a nice sized nut for keeping it in place. So nice to have a substantial workhorse. Not a dealbreaker, but I do love the red color. It's a real game-changer. So much to do..I've vacuumed pet hair, cleaned up flooded carpet and tile, and will be using it outside in the Spring. LOVE IT!!Read full review

Many of us "Upper Classman" have come to know the Craftsman name as being synonymous with quality. Personally, I remember spending hours in the Sears tool department. If you broke a tool, you took it back and it was replaced at no cost. Having six dogs I decided to purchase this vacuum to pick up the hair left on the floor. This beautiful tool has so much vacuum that my wife was afraid to use it. Now we both use it and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I had a Craftsman before for many yrs and performed well , the new one still lives up to Craftsman's quality with power and the caddie to hold the tools is very handy. This unit is light weight and easy to handle.

purchased to work together with my new Dust Deputy. Works great when you hook it up correctly to the Dust Deputy, hehe. Very little vacuumed debris makes it to the shop vac itself. Cost of the Dust Deputy will be paid for by not purchasing any paper filters for the shopvac. Built my own rolling cabinet with the shopvac on the bottom and the Dust Deputy on the top, so small footprint when having it hooked up to the sander and other machines.
