this 12v drill/driver is perfect for light work duty. It's light, has a decent battery system and adequate power for drilling up to 1/2" holes and driving 3' screws. this was a replacement for one that lasted only a couple of years. the tear down for trying dyi repairs is not easy at all. as far as value, there are a few equal or better alternatives. i have three batteries and two chargers so this was best for me.

Great little cordless drill! This is the 2nd one I've owned; the previous lasting me 10 years. Small enough to get into tight places but powerful enough to drill a 3/8" bit through solid steel. Variable speed, reversing, hi-low gearbox, keyless chuck, variable torque settings, LED light for shadowy use, what'd I miss? Oh, it's not a "hammer drill" but that's no great loss.

I have had one of these for many years and it finally died. When I found that they were no longer being made and no parts are available, I bought three of them. That's how much I like them and I use one or two of them on an almost daily basis. They have substantial torque for their size and my only "complaint" is that I wish the HI speed setting was a little faster.

I have,,,,,,,FIVE of these. High speed or high torque slide switch. Yes,I bought the angle one AND the impact one. 12 V. Lithium-Ion batteries are great! Easy to do overhead work.Much lighter weight than other battery types! Decent comfort grip. The chargers are OK,too.

These are small, light and tend to be inexpensive. Plenty of power for most things, good battery life and easy to handle on a ladder. Starting to become hard to find.
