This book was written by a top network security analyst AND is extremely easy to read! I would strongly recommend this book to anyone that wants to get a deep understanding of threats and how to protect yourself. It doesn't start getting too technical until later on in the book and it's not as technical as other technical books but this will give you a very good understanding of concepts which will aid you actual implementation. Very highly recommended.
Great book for understanding the mechanism used by (professional) hackers to attacks computer networks. The book also explain some of the remediation and tools to used to detect intruders. I would recommend reading this book when studding for security certifications, such as the SANS classes Sec504 and Sec560.
I liked it because it was clear, concise and it got me an A in the course. I liked it because it was clear, concise and it got me an A in the course.
