I bought this phone system to replace a 15 year old system that has worked great but has just gotten old looking. I chose this system for my home because it was the only 5.8 system that I could find where both the main unit and the sub-units could be wall mounted. I don't need more things on my counters so I was specifically looking for wall mounting. I was glad that it was a Panasonic because I have always had success with all that they make, cameras, VCR's, etc. I also had a good AT&T answering machine as part of my old system, so this purchase was to replace both the cordless phone and the answering machine. After living with this for about a month, the phone system is great. Clear sound, no interference, well made handsets. I didn't think I would like the voice caller ID, and I'm still not sure, but it's starting to grow on me because I don't have to run to the phone to find out who's calling. The only down side is that the answering machine doesn't have numbers to tell me how many calls that I have. It works fine as an answering machine, but I liked my old answering machine telling me visually how many calls I had to check. I still have the old AT&T answering machine and I may go back to using it along with this phone system. So, in a nutshell, great phone system, only okay answering system.Read full review
Pros: I purchased this phone because of the rating of comsumers report. I like the clarity it has. The Speaker system works great, not distorted and doesn't drop out. I like the Voice Caller ID. I like the features of the Phone Book. You can store a total of 50 names and numbers. I like being able to transfer the Phone book to the Handset without having to enter each name and number. The appearance of the phone is very pleasing. I like the fact that the Answering System is in the Base unit and easy to operate. Cons: What I don't like about this phone is the low ringer. You can easily miss a call. There is no way that I have found to increase the volume of the ringer. Other than that, I have no complaints.
This phone has alot of great features. Its easy to use and has good deal of storage if you need to save messages. My only problem is that the voice volume is a tad low even when the volume is all the way up. This is my only complaint so far. Good phone at a great price :)
Having had some good experience with this make and model elsewhere, I began to look seriously into finding one for myself, only to discover that this model was on it's way out into obsolescence. I find this unfortunate, since other than the ability to incorporate cell phones into some systems, there are not all that many features on newer models that really set them apart from the KX-TG6052B. Fortunately, I knew I could rely on eBay to have what I was looking for. In addition to the standard features I had expected to find on the phone, the ability to copy either some, or the entire phonebook to the other handsets within the system using a very few keystrokes, was a pleasant surprise. Additionally, despite its light weight, the base and handsets strike me as being well built, and quite sturdy. I have no trouble recommending this model to others. Get ‘em while you still can.Read full review
I like the phone telling me who was calling by voice before I looked to see who was calling. I am disabled in a wheelchair and this was a big plus. I do not like that it has no belt clip for using it since I always keep one clipped to the side of my wheelchair at all times. I had to tape a clip from a previous phone I had on it and them rubber band it on to hold a clip on it. Not the best looking thing but I have to make it work for my situation.
