Overall this unit is well made. It is replaceing one that I have used for many years. It was missing the perches for the center section and I called the number on the box about two weeks age and have not received the promised replacements as of this date. I still would recommend this unit.

The bird feeder is sturdy and looks expensive. The birds love it and on a nice day it gets a lot of use. I have five feeders and this one is the best one.

This bird feeder holds approximately 8 pounds of seed so that even in heavy feeding seasons it does not need frequent refilling. The "copper" is plastic but has a nice appearance. It eventually turns dull and the tubes eventually are not clear but it still is OK. This is the third one of these I've owned and would still be using the second one but the squirrels chewed off the distribution ports and all the seed fell out. I personally think it is somewhat overpriced but when looking at alternatives found they were cheaper but also were cheaply made and did not hold as much seed.

Best part of this is that you do not need a tree to hang it from. I use the poles from an old snow rake, and the poles have a push in clip to release it from the remainder of the poles. They will last about 15 years in the most extreme elements. I used a half inch copper pipe from inside the ground up, then slide two of the snow rake poles over the copper pipe. Works great, but you need a squirrel guard to keep them tree rats off of it.
