This cookbook is fun to read--even if it never makes it to the kitchen. It entertains as history, while the recipes are accessible and tasty. The author's family as depicted in these pages is wonderfully diverse; someone here will remind you of someone you already know. And don't mind meeting once again.

I loved the pictures of people who were remembered with love and affection. This book was a labor of love and it shows.
I bought this book because of other reviews I had read. However I got bored with all the family stories in this book. I was not excited about any of it's recipies that I looked at and it's in my cabinet where it will probley stay.
