Bread machines come with recipes that are great for basic breads, and a few that are a little "fancier", but after awhile I found myself wanting to really try different breads. I found this book, and have tried several recipes. They have all been delicious, and a nice escape from plain bread. The directions are clear and well illustrated with full color photographs. The pages are printed on heavy paper that can take a little wear and tear in the kitchen. There are also sections in the back of the book with recipes for making Spreads, Troubleshooting and Accessories. In the winter (when it's -0 outside) I like to bake the bread in the oven, and simply prepare the dough in the bread machine. As I write this, a loaf of Bleu Cheese and Port is coming out of the machine soon, and it smells wonderful. If you want to be adventurous in your bread making, I recommend this book.Read full review

I recently pulled my old bread machine out of a closet to try making some home-made bread, and I ordered this book to provide me with ideas. The book turned out to be an excellent resource with beautiful photographs and clear instructions for each recipe. I have tried four different recipes so far, and all have turned out perfectly. I strongly recommend this book for anyone who enjoys baking bread and likes the convenience of a bread machine, though I suspect the recipes could be used for traditional bread baking as well.

This is a great bread machine cookbook -- the recipes have been tested in tons of bread machines and adjusted to work in them all. Hardcover version that I bought has an inside spiral binding so it lays flat when using it for baking. This version was copyrighted 1992, so it doesn't have all the info included in the 1993 version. Yummy bread!
