I needed a new GMU so my old motherboard was toast due to overheating too many times. So I added this used item into my old CQ56 laptop and she was good as new! I added new thermal paste and cleaned my fan and motor housing. Always keep the airways on your laptop open. Elevate your laptop off of your legs etc. if it starts to warm up. Cut it off it it’s very warm, trust me!

Firstly, I received the item a month or so after ordering. Was happy when it was finally received and even happier when it actually fit in my laptop and I was actually able to turn on my laptop. However, this happiness was short lived as I soon discovered that a random white screen would pop up whenever I used my laptop. There was no particular time when this would occur and would last anywhere between the blink of an eye to around 5 seconds then flicker back to normal. Thinking that it was not hooked up properly I took it back to have it checked. When I explained the issue to the pc tech I was told that it could be any of 3 things: malware, incorrect installation of defective item. Praying that it was not the last suggestion wasn't enough as when I collected back my laptop I learned that it was indeed a defective item that was causing the white screen. I am very disappointed in the seller for sending such an item to me and more so for them being dishonest in saying that the item was "100% tested before delivery" and work fine or "Almost New". Worst of all I am unable to return this item as it would be very expensive to do so as I live in the Caribbean; Trinidad to be exact.Read full review

after conecting the board to the laptop it only worked once , after unplug power cable from laptop never started again, maybe refurbished product but did not metioned anywere, it is a good deal if can make it to work again.

Sorry, but it failed in three days. I used a heat gun on my original MB graphics chip and it's working again. I did the same to your replacement board, but haven't tried it yet. I would return it, but cost too much from this location.
