For the completist and a great way to enter the realm of Britain's "Voice of God". The set, released in the early 1990's, encompasses all Cocteau Twins singles from 1981 to 1990, many never released in the U.S. as well as a few tasty nuggets of additional unreleased material. Highlights include "Aikea Guinea", " The Spangle Maker","Loves Easy Tears"(probably their best ep) and material from "The Pink Opaque", a rare and difficult to find compilation that U.S. fans will immediately fall in love with. Included as well is a cut previously available only on the 4AD compilation album,"It'll End In Tears" which is quite difficult to find. The Cocteau Twins astonished and intrigued fans of Post-Goth, Electronica, and New Music with their light, sinewous dreamscapes courtesy of Robin Guthrie, Simon Raymonde, and the vocalist, Elizabeth Fraser. Alas, the reclusive, and deliberately obscure trio broke up in the mid-nineties. Having acquired this terrific box set, fans of the Cocteaus can pursue these delicious sounds through recent releases from the now solo Robin Guthrie and collaborative works with Robin Guthrie and Harold Budd, as well as the ample Cocteau Twins back catalogue. I recommend this box set to any and all and I rate it "excellent"*****Read full review
I used to own this collection back when it originally came out. Due to financial difficulties I had to sell it along with some other favorites. I never expected to own it again, certainly not in such excellent shape. It looks like it never left my side. Thank you for fulfilling a dream. I'm one step closer to getting back all those items I had to let go before.

This box set is a must for any Twins fans. For the new fan it offers a great crash course from the early 80's to the early 90's. The box set is a collection of EPs (Tiny Dynamine, Echoes in a Shallow Bay, Love's Easy Tears), and singles. There is a bonus CD which includes songs used on compilation albums. The EPs alone make this box set a must have. The price tag in 1993 or whenever I bought my orignal box set was 60$ or so. Maybe it was even 80$, I don't recall, but it was expensive back then. Due to the price the box set might be a leap for a new fan. But I am sure if you already like the music that you'll be more than pleased with the box set.
the cds are in perfect condition, all 10 of them. no wear and tear on the singles. the box however was scuffed in more places than one, which the photos made it look like one spot, all in all a good review, every 4ad head needs this, its essential.

Hard to find set. Haven't gotten a chance to listen to the full set, but appears in great shape. Thanks.
