These clubs are the perfect set for an average to above average woman golfer who is always trying to improve her game. The "matched" shafts and balanced heads made it easier to make consistent and balanced swings whether one is hitting an iron or a utility club. This consistency leads to increased self-confidence and potentially to lower scores. These clubs can also be an above average set of clubs for an aspiring Youth player who is moving from "youth" clubs to regular sized Men's clubs. I think the quality is better than most youth clubs available today and they are more sidewise, proportionate to the youth's body size, than moving directly from youth clubs to the longer and heavier mens' clubs.

I have been wanting the new Cobra irons for sometime now. I was using the King Cobra II oversized irons and was starting to lose accuracy with them as I am getting older (now 49). I am a 15 handicap, which means I can shoot anywhere from an 85 to 92 for 18 holes on any given day. The first time I took my new Cobra S3 Max irons out, I shot an 81 for 18 holes! I could have easily shot a 78 since I had two three putts and a penalty. The ball launches off the club with a crisp sound and soars way higher than what I am used to, but loving it! It was nice to hit it straight and not lose any distance. The shaft is light and makes the swing easy as well as the nice grips they feel comfortable to grip the clubs. I would recommend this to any avid or weekend warrior golfer. It will surely shave a few strokes off your game...It did mine!Read full review
I absolutely love these clubs. I got started playing golf about two years ago (current handicap 21)and I purchased a used set of Cleveland Hibore clubs . These clubs were great because they allowed me to hit the ball easier. But after two years now I felt I reached a plateau with these irons, the distance was marginal and my shots just seem to be pushed and not quite stay online. This was especially fustrating because I would spend a lot of time on the range practicing shots. My range shots off of a mat always seemed to have a better flight path than they did compared to when I was on the course. I just think the HB3 irons had more turf interaction that would more then likely cause the face of the club to open at impact. Of course you are aware of what the flight path of even a well hit ball would look like when the face is open at impact. Armed with this information I took a gamble on the Cobra S3 Max irons and quite frankly I love them. I hit them better than the Cleveland irons and my shots have a higher and straighter flight path when compared to before. I do not have the same fat shots or huge divots as I did before. The Cobra S3 Max irons are cavity back which is thinner than the respective HB3 club. Because of a thinner profile, there appears to be less turf interaction which can lead to the club face being more square at impact. This could possibly explain why my shots are straighter, longer and my divots are smaller. Regardless of the science, I am absolutely sold on these irons and that is why the guys at my club call me the "offical unoffical Cobra Guy!! I have nothing against Cleveland Hb3 irons but I feel like the Cobra irons fit my current swing (straight) path better. I have played two rounds with my new Cobra irons and I shot a 98 on the first and a 93 on the second. My confidence is up and I am very optimistic that I will break 90 before this golf season ends. If you are a hi handicap player like myself you will not go wrong by buying these clubs they are very forgiving and your scores will improve quickly. I recommend them to you with enthusiasm!!Read full review
I tried these at a demo day at our club, I am a smooth swinger and low handicap golfer. The set only comes with 7- iron on up, the other three are hybrids I do prefer irons. But I tried them anyway, the 7 iron was fitted with a 60gram lite shaft, the club looked a little bulky when I lined it up, but boy did it explode the ball. I was hitting into a 10 15 mph wind and no problem carring 140 plus, then I tried knock down, fades and draws, the club preformed perfect. The New Hybrid Baffler H series is a dream come true, I am scrapping my 7 wood and get the 19* hybrid, it's great.
I bought these irons primarily because the set had "senior" flex shafts and fthe price was excellent for a relatively quality set of irons. I have only used them twice, and once I get comfortable with them, I believe I will enjoy them very much. Still, you have to keep in mind your age (mine is 77) and how good of a golfer you were before you bought new clubs. As someone recently "It's the Indian, not the arrow that counts".
