Farming no longer provides City Narigator via a DVD that can be loaded into a GPS device as well as a computer via BaseCamp. To accomplish this dual access one must now purchase two SD cards, one for the GPS device and one for the computer. Otherwise the computer can access the City Navigator files from the GPS unit via USB connection. This is OK but not always convenient. The new system is a little more expensive but works just fine. It also avoids the need to go through fragile unlocking procedures. Bottom line is that the new system looks cumbersome, but really is not and works just fine.

I have had no trouble using the city navigator card in CAN so far. It appears to be working and we are able to get to our destinations without use of printed maps. Map retrieval speed may be a little slower but the garmin appears to work OK.
