I got a couple 2950s at a great discount. They have had alot of use and the only thing I can complain is the internal fan gets louder as the years go by. It was built to last and is a very good alternative to newer enterprise switches. Why get a new switch when you can get 2 older switches at 1/20 the cost.

The Cisco Catalyst 2950 although end-of-life is perfect for home labs. I'm currently working on my CCNP and I purchased two of these. They are cheap and effective. For around $30 each, the price fits within my budget, and the device supports all the features I need in an access switch. Such as 802.1Q trunking, RSTP, Voice VLANs, and EtherChannels. There are some older switches out there, but the price on these has dropped tremendously. I would definitely recommend this model if your studying for any of the Cisco Certifications and need an access switch.
This is an excellent switch for anyone seeking to get ccna certified. This a current model and uses a current IOS. It may come password protected so it will be fun performing a password recovery. DO NOT buy any 1900 catalyst swithes as they do not use a current ios.
Tis switc is a perfect too for use in a CNA/NP/IE lab. Cheap, functional and able to do most lab topics including VTP/Inter-Vlan as weel as RSTP (on the T and higher models) Good value for the money.
1. I buy things to resell. So it helps quite a bit if the weight of the product is mentioned in the description. 2. If the offer is made, I am expecing a reply within same day. 3. Otherwise all is ok.
