If you are looking for anything close to old school skills & style then you'll enjoy Chrisette. her voice surpasses so many of the R&B ladies out today. This album expresses more of her personal side & displays more of her vocal abilities. I've enjoyed it so far & plan to have it in serious rotation for the next few weeks. In addition I'd have to say that if you've never SEEN her in concert, when she comes to your town please GO! She is AMAZING! She will give you chills if you love REAL music. Not studio music but REAL vocal ability. TRUST & BELIEVE in that! Enjoy this great musical experience that Ne-yo produced & CM sangs (lol)!
I prefer the more laid-back R&B instead of the Hip-Hop influenced sound that's more prevalent today. Chrisette Michelle's album Epiphany is exactly what I was looking for. Between the jazzy sounds and soulful singing, Epiphany is one of my favorite current cd's and has earned a spot in my 6 disc changer. Though slightly more commercial than her first album, Epiphany still has original concepts as Chrisette stays true to herself. I love 'Blame it on Me' and Ne-yo influenced 'What You Do'. My sister wont stop singing 'Porcelain Doll' which I have to confess is kinda catchy. Definitely worth paying full price if you can't find it on sale.
Loved it! She doesn't get the no·to·ri·e·ty she deserves in my opinion!

I love Chrisette Michele! She is one of the most talented and beautiful soul singers out there today. Though she is only widely known for for current hiht "Epihpany" she is not a mere amateur in the game. I love her cd because she discusses the subject of letting go and moving on. Her cd is something women(and maybe men) could relate to. I would definitely recommend Chrisette Michele's "Epiphany" cd.
