I love the idea and it is compact, should be easy to clean, and easy to operate, but I have a glass topped stove and could not use it, so I'm donating it to my churche's summer yard sale

It is supposed to be smokeless and by the picture looked like it would make grill marks on the meat and taste like it was cooked on grill. I had to remove the battery from my smoke alarm because it put out so much smoke and this was with me running the exhaust fan on high while using it. It did get the meat done but it didn't have grill marks on it or get it dark. I tried it three times with hamburger the first time, chicken breasts the second time, and then steak the third time thinking maybe one of them would work but NO. I would definitely NOT recommend this to anyone. The really bad thing about this is I purchased two so I could give one as a gift. Not sure if I want to give it or not.

This item looked good when I opened it. I tried to make BBQ for first time and I was so disappointed. The water i put in it splashed everywhere on a stove, after I tried to flip over my food, it was stuck on it and i realized that it is doesn't have nonstick quality. Can you imagine how much time I spent to clean it? I did , but ..even i washed it with soft cleaning tissue some of the "non stick" cover was gone! I can see the aluminum metal.. i can not believe what i bought. Don't buy it, don't waste your money.

I’m sorry but there’s nothing good about this product, it’s not what I expected for the price I paid!!. It’s made of tin can. It doesn’t sit well. And the water base is too small and narrow.

This devise works quite well, however there is a learning curve. Get it too hot (burner set on medium using no water) or (let the water evaporate too quickly) and food will stick, grease spatter will hit the burner and smoke. You MUST put water in the ring. The center is more like a frying pan that allows the grease and fat to drain into the grill sections. The grill sections are cooler and thus takes longer to cook, but is perfect for maintaining foods that can cook to fast for the items in the center. Swapping foods between the center and the outer edge is ideal. Food does turn out quite juicy. Marinades are best brushed on then allowed to drain into the water. Which will evaporate with the water and baste the bottom of the item. Thicker marinades will stick. Clean up again is similar to a frying pan.
