I had a Chamberlain chain drive garage door opener and although it worked just fine it was just too noisy. I decided to swap it out for a belt drive and I am really happy with the change. The opener makes zero noise. Just a little rattling of the door and I had corrected that with some oil and installation foam. Now opening and closing of the door is a very quiet operation. I am very pleased.

Overall this is a good opener. I rated it lower because while it is quieter than my old Craftsman, it is far from "whisper quiet" as advertised. The added features like the self-closing timer and smart phone app are great. It programmed very easily.

This was a replacement for a 1970s model garage door opener. It was easy to install and easy to adjust. Probably the best part about this particular model is the ease of set up and how quiet it is when you're finally done.

Much quieter than a chain. Feels safer as it really holds the garage door down with force. I recommend getting the Chamberlain CIGBU MYQ Internet Gateway also so you can control your garage with your phone.

A high quality light grease that does not dry up, and contains no chemicals that damage plastic parts. I use this grease for lubricating metal and plastic gears in vintage electric clocks, as well as using it to lubricate pivot points in motorized mechanisms with moving parts. Recommended!
