I purchased this for use as a spotting scope for long range rifle. I works pretty well for the money. The eye relief isn't great but is usable. When the scope is nearing the max 75x magnification setting I couldn't get it to focus clearly which would be expected for this price point. I used it out to 1000yrd and could easily see the splash on the steel targets. The lowest setting 25x zoom was still a little strong to watch trace as the rounds impact the target. If that was your goal you might want to get something with less magnification. Overall it performed better than I expected.

Took this scope out to the range. The tripod work marginally well, if set on on a bench by itself, then don't touch anything...jittery while you adjust the settings. Works well out to about 100yds. Image is fairly bright and a slow focusing controller lets you define .22 holes quite readily. Going up to 75 power reduces image quality. Perhaps it was that the 200yd. target had come into shadow, but image was too gray to focus in on hits. 75 power became useless, focal clarity lost any sharpness it had at closer ranges. The focus knob had a very narrow band where the subject could almost come into clarity, but not quite. Will try again another brighter day.

Good planetary mobile telescope for beginners, travellers, buyers on budget. Can be used both as spotting scope and telescope. I managed to watch Moon in details, Saturn and some star clouds. I bought this one in addition to 150 mm reflector for travel purposes, probably next C90 model is an option at a good price since 90 mm is somewhat closer to real entry level telescope. Assembled scope+tripod fits any suitcase or mid-size bag and only weights couple pounds. Best operating range of the original eyepiece lays between x25-60, x75 is a bit too much and you trade off quality for magnification. Pleasant thing - it comes with 1.25" eyepiece adaptor that allows you use Plossl or similar type of eyepiece instead of original. Tripod has to 2 adjusting screws that work Ok for following of a space object more or less smoothly.Read full review
Good magnification with supplied zoom. View clearness is greatly improved if using quality non-zoom eyepieces and the supplied eyepiece-adapter. Tripod works OK but are all plastic.

This scope was adequate for use at 100 yards. Once I was used to the controls, I was able to see holes in a target with no trouble. The tripod supplied with the unit is not very stable. This was the same complaint stated in other reviews. I found attaching the scope to a taller tripod was more stable. You get what you pay for. This scope will work for my purposes.
