The surprising thing was how light this thing is. I had not handled a car radio for years and they were always 1 or 2 Lbs. This radio is at just a few ounces. That's a good thing. Sound is OK, controls not super easy but workable after a glance at the booklet and a few minutes of practice. Its an amazing low cost for what it is.

I bought this as a replacement for my worn out cd player. I didn't want to put an expensive unit in my pickup as I rarely drive it and worry about it getting stolen. The Good: Easy to install, got it fast, nice appearance, cheap price Radio works fine and plays loud.. The Bad: No EQ, No removable face plate Can't get the sd card reader to work, but works fine with usb stick. Remote is tiny and the buttons hard to use but they do work albeit not very well. The manual does a poor job of explaining how to use it. Overall I would say it's not a bad deal for the money, but if you want a great sounding stereo, keep shopping.

This radio is cheap both in cost and quality. I got it to replace an 20 year old factory radio in my old truck. It will work but looking at the unit I don't know how long it will survive. The panels don't really fit evenly or closely No real depth in the sound quality. The manual is pretty lacking being it is a generic manual. It states that there are 4 channels but I am suspicious. The box is generic as well with a sticker on the top indicating the purchased unit. I will advise people to consider purchasing the bottom line radio at Wal-Mar I will use it till I get tired of it, or it fails.

I received the product SUPER fast. I just needed something to fill the hole, so this filled the bill. Actually the sound on the two stations that I can receive is pretty good. Remote works good. Problem: before you buy, study the information carefully. On the product page, it calls it a Sound Storm 500-R, which it isn't. It says in one place that it plays CD's and another that it doesn't. It says it is an AM-FM and it is an FM only. Copy is either confusing or deceptive, you decide. Even the pictures on the sides of the box are a different radio. The user manual is not even for this radio. Remote seems to work ok.

Although i wanted one with Bluetooth, it does not have bluetooth, it works ok considering how much i paid for it. While playing from sd or usb, it sometimes speeds up for no apparent reason. Overall i am enjoying the cheap radio, and seemed to erratically get stuck.
