So, I just moved into a new apartment and everything is white. The boringness of it hurts my eyes. So, I went to my local Lowe's to look at some paint colors. All I can say is overload, I didn't even know where to start, what would go with what and not look horrible. I happened to see this book on display next to the paints and picked it up. I skimmed through it and liked that there was a different set of suggested color schemes on each page--I definitely should be able to get some ideas from this. Then I noticed the price $20. A little too much, so I pulled out smartphone and it's handy barcode scanner, and voila about three minutes later I found the same book on eBay for $1.03 and ordered while I was standing in the middle of the Lowe's aisle. I book's suggestions are helpful, the only thing I don't like is that there are almost no pictures of actual rooms to go along with the color scheme suggestions. They'll suggest a scheme of three colors on one page, but the room picture in the background has nothing to do with those colors and is sometimes one solid color or white. Makes no sense. Definitely worth it for $1.03 if you just need some random ideas for color schemes.Read full review
I love this book. I used it to re-do my 13 year old son's bedroom, and now I'm on to the master bath. It is an excellent book that was recommended to me by my niece. I would recommend it as well. Thanks, Trish
