I got the Selphy printer to replace a Kodak Easyshare printer because Kodak quit making ink and paper for that pinter. The Selphy is a better printer anyway. Easy to use controls. Has LCD screen. Has memory card slot which makes it easy to select which pictures to print. Prints a picture in about 40 seconds so it is not fast but the convenience of instant printing of your pictures makes up for that. It has small foot print so you can take it anywhere easily. It is the perfect solution to be able to make instant prints at special occasions.
I wanted a small, portable photo printer to print favorite photos from my various digital cameras. The Selphy CP780 was the perfect choice! It is simple and easy to operate and fairly quick for the quality prints it produces. I have owned nearly a dozen different printers over the years and have never had a photo print out this clear! It looks just like the old developed pictures from film cameras. I can't think of anything that I don't like about this printer. Very impressed with the Selphy printer and Canon printers in general. I haven't used it that much so far, but cannot think of any reason not to invest in the CP780 if you enjoy a hard copy of your favorite photos.
Ok, I like this little thing. I used to have the Kodak G600 photo printer and have been looking for one like it since. This is pretty much the same thing. With the Kodak printer you had to have a Kodak camera, with the dock for the pinter. You would use the back of the camcera, the view screen to look at the menue. But it made really good photo's, fast that were laminted afterwards so they wouldn't smudge. Now Cannon has come out with the Selphy photo printer which does it exactly the same way, I like it! And the thing I really like about it is that it will work no matter what camera you have. Because it works on your SD card, not the camera. Simply put your SD card in the SD card slot and your photo's will show up on the little lcd screen on the machine. You pick the photo you want to print, some special features like, "Red Eye Reduction", and how many copies you want, and hit the print button, and that's it!! In under a minute your picture will be DONE! It will be laminated so it will last forever, and the color is great on it. It has a tray you attatch to the front of the printer. The printing paper will go in that tray, under where they pics come out. You will be able to put only around 18 to 20 sheets of paper in there at the most. My Kodak one held 25 sheets, just a little better. But if shop around online you can find a 108 sheet box of paper and ink for between 20 and 30 dollars. Not bad for 108 photo's at all, think of how much it will save on taking them into someplace and having them printed out. But think of the 1.convenience of being able to make the photo's anywhere. When I had my Kodak I took it to my Dad's funeral, 100's or people showed up, relatives we hadn't seen in years. I took pic's of everybody, all the grandkids. Then I printed them out there and was able to give copies to whoever wanted them, instead of waiting, going to a store, then trying to contact people to see if they wanted a photo or not. That is where these small printer's really shine!! Is being able to print anywhere without a computer. The only thing I wish that this thing could do is crop, it doesn't. Lucky for me I can crop on my camera. There is an optional battery pack you can buy for it, I would advise getting at least one. You can usually get around 50 pictures from 1 charged battery. This makes it truly moble, not having to plug it in, taking it on the beach, or camping with the family and printing pictures out there. They always sell enough ink for the paper they sell. So you will never run out of ink, so that won't be a worry. It also has bluetooth connectivity, so you can connect it to your phone and print your pic's from there too! Another big plus for this little printer. All in all, for the price it's well worth it in my book. Not having to use your computer to print things out, especially when the cost of ink is so high. And not having to go to the stores to print them out is a plus too. And being able to print any camera's photo's out because all you need is there SD card is another big plus for it. So yes I think it's well worth the money I put into it. I recomend it to anybody out there thinking about getting it. You will be glad you have it, once you got it!!Read full review
I had the earlier model CP770 for years but eventually quit working so got this model as a slight upgrade. It was very well, super easy to setup (need to install drivers in compatibility mode for Windows 10) and the print quality is great. I love being able to print 4x6's on demand.

This printer is very easy to use, even the first time I used it. Can print from digital card, usb, or, my favorite, the computer. Software has fun frames, bubbles to add to your picture. Picture quality is great and prints in under one minute.
