As many spur of the moment things are readily picked-up, this bygone pocket camera was an answer to my need for portability, and ease of use. Easy to load, dx coding, date stamp, and three format image sizes, made it the logical choice for spot shots. Hardly larger than a pack of smokes, and having design cues like many of Canon's other Elph cameras also aided in its selection. A fine camera if all you want is the moments capture. Murray Kriner

This camera and the accompanying manual arrived in excellent condition. I have used the camera several times and have had really good results. The camera works exactly as it should. The Canon Elph is a superior piece of machinery. It has the advantage of being shirt pocket size. I have been satisfied with all of my Canon products. I am particularly pleased that the Canon Elph cameras have three different sizes, a matter too detailed for this brief review. I recommend the Canon Elph without reservation.
You need a ph.D. to operate this camera. Push Here Dummy. I work with medium format, large format and digital, but have a little fun with point and shoot cameras, here and there. APS film format is discontinued, and reviled by photographers when it was still in use. It's a little smaller than 35mm, but larger than digital sensors that use the same acronym. Film can still be found, frequently expired, B&W or color prints, and it has to be sent out to a lab that can handle APS format. It's totally illogical to shoot APS, and this is a cheesy consumer-grade camera. However, Canon lenses are pretty good, even with the ELPH. Can't go wrong with a camera that costs less than a roll of film. (mine is new) There's nothing worse than a sharp image of a fuzzy concept. In photography it is always image content that wins the day, and that is what appeals to me about APS. Read full review

This a wonderful point and shoot camera. I bought this camera to replace a smaller Canon Elph camera. The camera has alot of features for a camera of it's size. The compact size of this camera makes it easy to carry with you anywhere.
i wanted an APS camera, a small one that i would use in a snap. i like the Elph, but i wish that more of its components--strap holder, case--were made out of metal rather than plastic.
